The pewter busts of each of the six suspects are done in character
to their namesakes. Each is fairly well sculpted. Of course,
there are also six weapons - the poisoned donut, the extend-o-glove, the
necklace, the slingshot, the saxophone, and the plutonium bar. These
are also well sculpted, although you'll only know the plutonium bar by the
process of elimination. There isn't much I can say about the game in
general that you don't already know. It's the classic, time tested
Clue, with the same rules you've always played with. Only the
locations and pieces have changed.
Overall - **
While it's cute, and most big Simpsons fans will want to have it if for no
other reason than to have a pewter figure of Waylon Smithers, the average
person isn't going to find anything too exciting here. If you're
looking to buy, be selective - this game is not shipping to the large chains
like Toys R Us, but rather the small game shops in malls and on line.
I bought mine at Next Planet Over where they had a 30% off coupon at the
time. That brought the suggested retail price of $34.95 down to a much
more reasonable $26 shipped. However, www.anotheruniverse.com
also has it right now, and they are starting out at around $26. With a
coupon there (search the coupon web sites) you should be able to get it for
around $16.

The graphics on the game board and packaging are terrific. The
board features Jebediah Springfield in the center, with Krustylu Studios,
Burns Manor, The Android's Dungeon, Kwik-E-Mart, The Frying Dutchman, the
Simpsons House, Barney's Bowl-a-Rama, the Nuclear Power Plant, and
Springfield Retirement Castle. It is in one of these locations that
Mr. Burns is killed.
The suspects include Mr. Green (Homer), Mrs. Peacock (Marge), Miss
Scarlett (Lisa), Prof. Plum (Bart), Col. Mustard (Krusty) and Mrs. White
(the maid, so naturally it's Waylon Smithers ;)
