18" Simpsons Figures:
Krusty and Mr. Burns

Every so once in awhile I'll stumble across something truly unique and unusual out on the web.  Cruising around recently looking for God knows what, I stumbled across these 18", foam rubber figures of Simpsons characters.  These two particularly grabbed my attention - Krusty the Clown and Mr. Burns as Dracula.

The only place I've found them for sale is the Sci-Fi Warehouse in the U.K.  Their web site is: http://www.scifiwarehouse.com/index2.htm.  The company that produces these is from Germany, called A La Carte, at www.alacarte.cc, but I haven't been able to get that site to work.

The pictures above show each of these 'figures' (there is no articulation) standing with their Playmates counterparts for scale.  As you can tell, these puppies are pretty darn big, and make for extremely interesting conversation pieces.  At about $25 each US (16.99 GBP), they aren't too expensive.  There are also Bart, Homer and Lisa versions at this point.  They are made from a foam rubber material, and as such aren't the highest quality, but reasonable for the price point.  I was particularly surprised to see the Burns as Dracula version, but as he would say 'Excellent'.

Overall - **1/2
Mostly for sheer uniqueness, since neither of these is much more than a foam door stop :-)
